I grew up in London, England, with my two brothers Hamilton and Jerome, and a menagerie of cats, dogs and goldfish! My first introduction to the Upper Valley was whilst studying at Mount Holyoke College. My friends and I spent many weekends visiting friends at Dartmouth and enjoying the social life!
I graduated from Nottingham University with a BSc in Life Sciences, a.k.a. Biology! After one year working as a medical research assistant I realized it wasn’t the career for me and followed my dream to row full time. I competed internationally for England and then Great Britain (yes there is a difference!) from 1994 until 2001. My favorite two races were Women’s Henley Regatta, which I won twice in my single scull, and the Olympic Qualification Regatta in Lucerne, Switzerland. The highlight of my career was competing at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, where we came seventh. I now coach crew at Hanover High School, and love being involved in the sport in such a different capacity.
I moved to America in 2001, and now live at the Trumbull House Bed & Breakfast with my aunt and cousins, just down the street from my parents in Lyme and next door to my Granny!
